The goblins are making themselves heard! And while they are making no direct demands, Wizarding Kind has heard it all before: they protest their subordinate status to wizard, they take issue with the carelessness with which their crafted items are treated, and they demand equal status to witches and wizards not excluding the right to bear a wand!
But in our modern age what remains to be seen are the goblins' true goal. Equality or something more? Only time will tell.
The goblins have all but shut the doors of Gringots. They've begun to systematically reclaim their artifacts by force. All of the Wizarding World has, as a result, felt the squeeze of a sudden and chilling economic depression. Even the wealthiest of wizarding families have felt the pinch, and curled their lips to their aggressors. Many witches and wizards have turned to the muggle world, and even the black market, to meet their needs.
B.O.G.s, B.A.G.s, and W.A.G.S.
In response to the racial agenda of the Brotherhood of Goblins, an eccentric wizard called Quincy Harker has formed the Brotherhood Against Goblins. The B.A.G. actively protests the goblins' insurrection as well as harshly criticizes the Ministry for what they see as flagrant neglect of wizarding interests. But in the face of the B.A.G. comes the Wizards Against Goblin Subjugation who call for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

Hogwarts
The famed wizarding school has also felt the pinch, and it tightens as winter nears. Professors have abandoned their posts due to insufficient pay, and students are served very modest rations. Remaining staff must combine classes and double up on subjects, while student endure combined classes and shared textbooks. The castle is chillier than ever.
But the denizens of Hogwarts will not take any of this lying down, hoping to take the goblin threat into their own hands.

Slytherin seventh year, prefect. Organiser of Hogwarts Dueling Tournament 2017.

Honorable Mentions:
"Knox smiled at the strange Slytherin. He couldn't tell if it was her nature to be so formal and precise, or if it was an affect of her training and diligence to join the Aurors. She was wise for a teenager, wise even for a grown witch or wizard. He sensed that she would follow through with her plan with our without his consent if things made a turn for the worst, but he wouldn't blame her." - Knox Greyfriar (A Furlough Finished) >Link<
"Blair couldn't help but feel a bond towards Ciarra now, she had just spilled her most precious secrets to a girl she barely knew. Yet, for some odd reason, she felt complete trust in her. They were complete opposites and Ciarra was everything Blair wished she could be." - Blair Ivornot (Lost for Words) >Link<
"Noticing Knox and Ciarra, he waved as he walked by them, heading towards the Antechamber. "Wonderful work Ciarra, really, top-notch," he complimented the outstanding seventh year." - Quincy Harker (Duelling Tournament Opening Ceremony) >Link<
